Welcome to
Downbeat Music Lab
We feel that 2019 is the year for Pahrump to start providing more after school activities to our future generations! A group of professional musicians got together and decided to create a place for kids of all ages to perfect their craft, and feed their creative side. That space is called DownBeat Music Lab. Modeled after the downbeat of a song, DownBeat is a place where seasoned musicians hang out to teach those at the beginning, or "Downbeat" of their careers. With instructors who have real-world touring experience in every aspect of the professional music industry teaching in a laid back atmosphere, we provide music lessons (Piano, Drums, Multi-Platform Music Theory), a fully-furnished rehearsal space, recording studio, Artist Development services, merchandise production, and more. We have selected musicians with decades of professional experience behind them to teach our courses, so all of our students will feel confident that they are gaining industry-standard training- no matter the course! Let our experience guide you to the next level in your career, may it be your first gig or recording press releases for your return to the stage!
We are ready and willing to help you take your career to the next level. It all starts at DownBeat.

Dedicated, highly-motivated, multi-talented professional with over 20 years of experience with diverse background; business owner, consultant, accountant, event director, promotion & spokes model, quality assurance personnel for $35M U.S. A.F Government contracts, website and clothing designer. Music Background
Kozue was born and raised in Japan. She started playing piano at the age of 3, and started taking singing lessons at the age of 9. When she was a child, her school offered extensive music curriculum as a part of mandatory education program, so she learned how to play trumpet, xylophone, marimba, vibraphone, Japanese Koto, guitar, percussion, recorder, accordion, harmonica, and chorus emsemble. As an adult, Kozue moved to United States. She wanted to learn all different styles of music, so while she lived in Wyoming, she received vocal and piano training from Jazz musicians, Opera singers, and church piano accompanists. After she returned to Tokyo, she nailed an audition to join Unison Record Label & Music School. She took vocal training, and song writing classes to become a singer/songwriter. During that time, she realized that she didn't want to be involved in the Music Entertainment environment under a record label, so she did not pursue a career as a recording artist. Instead, she started performing as a vocalist. Starting in 2005, she was a lead and background singer, sound engineer, and concert coordinator for "Just As Nice" which was voted for #1 American band in Mainland Japan. She sang American/Japanese National Anthems for many U.S. Air Force Promotion Ceremonies, and many other military functions. She has also directed many Gospel Choirs in Japan and Las Vegas. She performed as a background singer for Desmond Pringle Gospel Workshop and Micah Stampley Gospel Workshop in Tokyo Japan. She formed DownBeat to share her music knowledge and skills with our local community. Her focus is to provide positive activities for all generations to improve everybody's quality of life. Everybody loves music! But a lot of people are scared to perform, worrying about what other people think about their performance. If you have a song in your heart, don't just listen to it! Practice and play your heart out! This mindset will make you become a better human being. DownBeat Music Lab allows you to be "YOU"! |
